An innovative revolution in converter design offering fuel savings of up to 5% using idle disconnect and early lock-up, superior torsional isolation at all driving speeds and enhanced launch performance for turbo-charged engines. The MFTC breaks the old constraints of the torque converter by allowing it to be disconnected from the engine. This enables a better distribution of inertia for vibration isolation and allows control of the launch event.
